On Sunday’s show, Tiffiany Decou, “The Lafayette Food Junkie,” and Chef Zach Doise with “LaStreat” food truck discussed many of the food happenings going on in Lafayette right now. Eat Lafayette is in full swing right now, and Tiffiany's Eat Lafayette Restaurant of the Week is Country Cuisine on University Avenue, whose Eat Lafayette special is "$8.00 Fish Fry Friday Plates" on Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m.

They also talked about Lafayette's Absolut Best Martini, which will happen each Tuesday from now through August 18. When you visit the website, you can download a coupon and cast your vote for the best one. All of the proceeds go to Healing House - Hope for Grieving Children.

Tiffiany also raved about one of her favorite restaurants - Bread and Circus - and their chorizo nachos, boudin corndogs and juicy lucy's.

This week's discussion centered on the following question: "Take your kids to a fine dining restaurant or leave them at home?" Tiffiany got a special call from her dad, which had her reminscing about going out to eat with her parents as a child. She believes it's good to introduce kids to gourmet food at a young age. Chef Zach expressed his belief that it all comes down to parenting and how well it's done or needs to be done with some kids. He talked about his four-year-old girl and how he would bring her with him to a fine dining restaurant because of how well-behaved she is.

Tiffiany also highlighted one kid friendly restaurant in Lafayette - Charley G's - citing how they have paper on the tables for kids to draw. They also pointed out that some fine dining restaurants do accommodate for kids with allergies.
