Learning how to conduct banking and save money is the goal of Capital One Bank's KidzBank being started today at Alice Boucher Elementary.  It's a bank run by kids for kids, and they are learning valuable lessons about money.

Lafayette Market President Mike Wack tells "Mornings With Ken and Bernie" that a team interviewed students and chose bankers to help the children deposit their money.  Wack says they hope to help the children learn more about the entire banking environment, and they hope the children will learn about the importance of saving money.

The school-based, student-operated "bank branch" under the guidance of their teachers along with bank personel will help student make their weekly deposits, help them read their monthly financial statements and help reinforce the financial lessons they are learning.
