It was a rough opening weekend for Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns and the LSU Tigers and their fans.

For UL, they were blown out at home by Boise State. The team starts the year 0-1. Head Coach Mark Hudspeth then fired their Defensive Coordinator.

For LSU, the offense looked inept in a nationally televised loss to Wisconsin. It’s the first time they have started the year 0-1 since 2002. And Head Coach Les Miles has apparently not fired himself from acting as the team’s Offensive Coordinator.

With such a rough opening weekend, KPEL’s Rob Kirkpatrick and Bernadette Lee brought in the ever-optimistic Steve Peloquin to brighten up our day on “Acadiana’s Morning News.”
