KPEL Wants To Give You A Hug On Hug A Newsperson Day

Let's just face it: news is a busy business. We work sometimes long hours chasing down sources and telling the stories you need to know about so that you can make informed decisions. We sometimes need a hug.

Cue Hug A Newsperson Day.

We're not exactly sure how this day originated, but it provides a way for you to show appreciation for those people who bring you the news day in and day out.

This Friday, Nathan and Bernie from KPEL's morning show will set up shop in the parking lot of Townsquare Media in Lafayette. We'll be giving out free biscuits from our friends at Acadian Superette. And of course, we'll be giving out free hugs as well.

Drive on over to 1749 Bertrand Drive and take part in the hug-fest.

Oh, and Sam Stokes--who has made it clear he is not a hugger--will be there, too. Make sure you give him a hug.
