Krotz Springs Woman Killed After Being Hit By Car

A Krotz Springs woman standing in the middle of U.S. Hwy. 190 was killed after she was hit by a vehicle.

According to Louisiana State Police Troop I spokesperson Master Trooper Brooks David, 50-year-old Elvina Stermer was standing in the westbound lane of the highway when she was hit by the car.

Sterner was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the St. Landry Parish coroner.

No one in the vehicle was injured.

This crash remains under investigation.
