It will be up for debate once again this year. Representative Sherman Mack has proposed a bill that calls for random drug testing of welfare recipients. Mack says his proposed legislation calls for 20% of adults who receive state aid to be drug-tested.

Similiar legislation has failed to get lawmakers approval, because opponents say it unfairly targets single poor mothers.
