La. Tourism Summit Set In Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — The Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau will host aLouisiana tourism summit Jan. 22-24 at L'Auberge Casino Resort.

Convention bureau spokeswoman Megan Hartman tells The American Press (http://bit.ly/cseYHv ) the conference theme will be Louisiana Strong: Tourism Jam Session.

The theme is in keeping with Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne's declaration of 2013 as the year of music in Louisianatourism.

Attending the summit will be Dardenne, state legislators, officials of the Louisiana Office of Tourism and Roger Dow, CEO of the U.S. Travel Association.
