BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — First-time claims for unemployment insurance in Louisiana for the week ending Sept. 28 decreased from the previous week's total.

The state labor department figures released Friday show 2,307 initial claims compared to 2,494 a week earlier.

The four-week moving average of initial claims decreased to 2,414 from the previous week's average of 2,445.

Continued unemployment claims claimed for the week ending Sept. 28 decreased to 23,551 compared to the previous week's total of 23,869.

The four-week moving average of such claims decreased to 23,900 from the previous week's average of 24,313.
