Lacassine Man Dies From Fall

22-year-old Timothy Mason Chambers of Lacassine has died after falling from the top of a rice dryer Thursday morning.

According to our news partners at KATC, Chambers was identified by relatives. Jeff Davis Parish deputies say he was found at 6:00 a.m., just off the interstate in Lacassine. Authorities say he fell 50 feet. He was not employed by the company.

An autopsy is pending. Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman says foul play is not suspected.
