More than 46,000 households in Louisiana were served in the first week of the Disaster Food Stamp program, and this week two more Acadiana parishes have been added to the list, Acadia and Lafayette Parish.

Anyone needing Food stamp help can preregister at www.dcfs.la.gov/preregister.

People can also preregister by phone at 1-888-LAHELP-U (1-888-524-3578).

You can get food stamp help today if your last name begins with the letters A through D.

You can also register at any disaster food stamp location.

The Acadia Parish Food stamp center will be at the Rayne Civic Center at 300 Frog Festival Drive.

The Lafayette facility will be within Blackheim Coliseum at 2330 Johnston Street.
