Lafayette, LA – The second part of the 2015 Annual Rabies Clinic will be held on Saturday, May 9th from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Multiple sites for the clinic include Carencro Middle, Milton Elementary, Alice Boucher and Northside High.

All pets must be properly contained and the cost is $7.00 per animal. Attendees are encouraged to come early with the paperwork filled out. Organizers ask the public not to bring ferrets because the vaccine needed for ferrets must be administered at the veterinarian’s office.

This event is sponsored by Lafayette Animal Control and Lafayette area veterinarians.

Attendees are also instructed to consult their veterinarians regarding other vaccinations your pet should be given. The public is reminded that all animals maintained in Lafayette Parish over the age of four months must be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian and registered with the city yearly. There are fines associated with failure to vaccinate your pet against rabies.
