Lafayette Attempted Purse Snatchers Caught

Tuesday afternoon Lafayette Police were called out to the 3100 block of Ambassador Caffery after a woman claimed someone tried to steal her purse.

The victim told officers she was outside of her car in the parking lot when a woman got out of another car and took her purse.

The victim says the suspect was reentering their car when the purse was dropped right in front of the passenger door of the car.

Today Police found the vehicle used in the situation.  They were able to determine that the passengers had allegedly been involved in the attempted purse snatching and two people were arrested:

26-year-old Koby Albanese, Principal to attempted purse snatching
23-year-old Kelly Colomb, Attempted purse snatching

The investigation is on-going.
