Lafayette Blaze Results In Five Departments Being Called Out

Firefighters from Lafayette, Judice, Milton, Duson and Maurice were called out to blaze in the 7500 block of Johnston Street at 2:09 this afternoon. The blaze, started by trash being burned in an open sided shed was extinguished before it could spread to a nearby mobile home. Burning embers were spread by wind gusts and the fire cause was ruled to be accidental. There were no injuries reported.
