Lafayette Budget Talk With Dee Stanley & Lorrie Toups On Lafayette Live

Today's edition of "Lafayette Live" with Lafayette City Parish President Joey Durel primarily featured Dee Stanley the Chief Administrative Officer and Lorrie Toups the Chief Financial Officer of Consolidated Government talking about the proposed budget.

Stanley begins the conversation giving his view of the budgetary process.  He details how many citizens want budget cuts, as he says all taxpayers, including him, do, but that it's the actually cutting of services that folks don't want.

Stanley and Toups detail how much money is in the city, the unincorporated areas, and what is mandated to be paid for by law.

The C-A-O says he hopes more people gets the facts and get involved in the process.
