A local business owner is recovering from a gunshot wound after he was robbed this morning.

Lafayette Police say the victim was exiting the front doors when the two suspects forced him back into the building while pulling out a handgun. Once inside, the pair stole his briefcase and fired multiple shots at him, striking him in the left thigh.

They then fled the area in a small 2-door blue vehicle. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in good condition.

The first suspect is described as a black male wearing a green shirt and orange shorts.

The second is also a black male wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
