Lafayette Chamber Backs Comprehensive Plan

Today Rob Guidry, CEO and Executive Director of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' to discuss Lafayette's Comprehensive Plan and last week's guest speaker at the Chamber lunch.  Guidry said that the consulting company WRT will be back in Lafayette for another round of community forums where people in every walk of life can give more input about the proposed comprehensive plan.   Guidry went on to say,

"We have a track record of success here in Lafayette but we want to move from being a successful community to a significant community.

Guidry also discussed last week's Chamber banquet with keynote speaker Randal Luthi, chief lobbyist for the National Oceans Industries Association.  According to Guidry within hours of the Presidential election, Luthi said that he didn't see things getting worse than they have been for the last four years but that doesn't say a lot.  He also indicated that there will be a price to pay with the re-election of Barack Obama.
