The Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce will host a workshop Friday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. to encourage fleet managers to consider switching to natural gas vehicles.

According to the event information:

An abundance of domestic natural gas and the increasing accessibility of fueling stations are just two of many reasons for fleet managers to consider natural gas vehicles. The South Louisiana NGV Workshop will feature presentations on the economic impact of fleet conversions, federal and state incentives and resources for businesses.

The NGV Workshop agenda will also include fleet success stories from South Louisiana companies, a review of available natural gas vehicles by original equipment manufacturers and up-fitters and an outstanding display of light, medium and heavy-duty natural gas-powered vehicles.

Jim Arthurs, Cummins Westport
Congressman Charles Boustany, Louisiana’s 3rd District
Congressman Bill Cassidy, Louisiana’s 6th District
Gifford Briggs, Louisiana Oil & Gas Association
