The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce has decided it won't take a position on a bond proposal which needs voter approval. That proposal would help fund nearly $561-million in construction work for Lafayette Parish Public Schools. The Chamber says it wants to see a new superintendent, adoption of a strategic plan for student achievement, and an aggressive commitment to innovation before it takes a side on the issue.
