Lafayette City Parish Council Holds Special District Meeting

Lafayette's City Parish Council is holding a special meeting tonight to discuss district changes. 

KPEL News has learned districts seven, eight and nine will be mostly affected by reapportionment due to census numbers.  Of  those districts, district nine will be mostly impacted.  That's because Will Theriot's district is overpopulated by nearly 12-thousand people.  Kenneth Boudreaux's district is expected to expand further north to maintain that minority district.
