City-Parish President Joey Durel joined Ken & Bernie today on Newstalk 96.5 KPEL's "Lafayette Live" to discuss a number items impacting Lafayette Parish.

Durel was asked what will become of waste now that the permit for the proposed waste transfer site on Sunbeam Lane has been rejected.

He was also asked why the new Lafayette logo does not contain the Fleur De Lis or any other symbol of our Cajun heritage.

Durel had more good news for the city/parish.  Lafayette parish has been listed by a nationwide magazine as having the sixth fastest growing middle class and the sixth fastest growing economy in the country.
