Lafayette Couple Dies In Car Wreck On I-10

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LouisianaState Police say a husband and wife have died after a car accident on Interstate 10 in West Baton Rouge Parish.

A news release says the accident happened late Friday after the tread separated on the front tire of a Ford truck, causing it to cross into oncoming traffic.

The Ford hit the left side of a 2006 Chevrolet pickup being driven by 66-year-old John M. Faul. Faul and his wife, 65-year-old, Elaine C. Faul, were killed.

She was in the backseat behind her husband. Two passengers in the Chevrolet and the driver of the Ford all survived.
