According to Cpl. Paul Mouton with the Lafayette Police Department, 40-year-old Dylan Alfred was arrested by in the parking lot of a business on Ridge Road.

Mouton says Alfred had just robbed another woman in the parking lot of a nail salon on Johnston Street. He approached the victim in a silver van, the same one stolen last week from a woman on Foreman Drive, asked her for the time, then knocked her down and stole her purse when she looked away.

Police spotted the van a short time later, Mouton says, and followed it into the parking lot of Burlington Coat Factory on Ridge Road, where Alfred was arrested.
