Lafayette Facility Among 250 That Post Office May Shut Down

Because of a 50% decline in First-Class mail in the last ten years, the U.S. Post Office is considering closing its sorting facility in Lafayette. The Lafayette facility is among 250 that may close down. Officials say its part of a plan to slash billions of dollars from its budget.
