The Family Violence Intervention Program is looking for class facilitators.  Board President Ralph Peters joined "Mornings With Ken and Bernie" to talk about the program and their training program for instructors.

Peters says each person in the program is either ordered by the Lafayette City Court to participate, or they have volunteered for the 26 week program. Participants are required to go to a FVIP class once a week, and they must pay the $25 dollar fee for each class.

Peters says the participants are educated about their control problem not anger management.  He says the issue is about the perpetrator being taught to learn they are the only person that can control their behavior, and they learn why they try to control.
