Lafayette Festival Competing For International Award

The Lafayette area has another chance to pick up a prestigious award. After being recognized as the Tastiest Town In The South by Southern Living Magazine, one of our local festivals is up for an award as well.

Festival International de Louisiane is going against other four festivals from across the globe in an online poll. Festival Internationale is competing under the Best World Music Festival category in the About.com World Music Reader's Choice Awards.

Currently, it trails a festival in Mali by a few hundred votes for first place.
