Lafayette Government Compost Facility To Change Schedules For Winter Months

The Lafayette Consolidated Government Compost Facility on Dugas Road will have a new weekend schedule for the winter months.

The new schedule for the facility located at 400 Dugas Road will begin this Saturday.

Environmental Manager Mark Pope says due to a seasonal slowdown in demand for cured compost, the facility will be opened on the second Saturday of the month for this month.

The changes will also affect the months of January and February 2014.

The dates the facility will be open will be:

• December 14
• January 11
• February 8

The facility will be open from 7 a.m. until noon on each of those days.
