Lafayette Has Another Arson On The Books [UPDATE]

Here's an update on this arson report from yesterday.  The Lafayette Police Department has arrested 17 year old Kevante Jenkins and a 13 year old juvenile in the case of the fire on Dolese street. Both were charged with simple arson.

Investigators say that several others may be involved and additional arrests are possible. These arrests have not been linked to any of the arson fires in June.

At 6:34 this morning Lafayette Firefighters responded to a fire in the 200 block of Dolese Street. The building, a vacant home, sustained moderate damage. There were no injuries reported.

Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set. This is the second vacant house fire to occur on Dolese Street. If you have any information on this fire or any other arson you're asked to call CrimeStoppers at 232-TIPS.
