Lafayette Homeowner Comes Home To Fire In Utility Room

Lafayette firefighters are on the scene of a house fire at 208 Darrell Street. The owner arrived home and noticed smoke coming from the vents on her roof. She immediately called 911.

When firefighters arrived, they discovered the fire in a utility room located under the carport. The fire was quickly extinguished. The fire damage was contained to the utility room.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
