Lafayette Insurance Agency Robbed

Just before 6:30 Friday night, Lafayette Police were called out to an insurance agency in the 5700 block of Johnston Street after they received information there was a robbery at the business.

The employee says a black male went into the business, and he ordered the employee to turn over all the money.  The victim gave the robber all of the cash, and the suspect fled on foot.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The victim described the suspect as being a 6’0" black male wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. The suspect did not appear to be armed with a weapon.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
