Lafayette Man Accused Of Harboring Minnesota Runaway, Storing Over 100 Images Of Child Pornography

52-year-old Thomas Dessoye of Lafayette is behind bars after police say he aided and harbored a juvenile runaway from Minnesota. Dessoye also faces over 100 counts of child possession.

Captain Kip Judice with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says the runaway has since been returned home.

Investigators say the illegal images were of persons under 16-years-old in provocative poses. Captain Kip Judice with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says the storage device is currently being examined by the Louisiana State Police Computer Forensics Unit to determine the origin of the images and attempt to identify the persons in these images.

Dessoye's bond was set at $100,000.00 for the contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile charge and $50,000.00 on the first count of possessing child pornography, however, Dessoye is being held without bond on the remaining charges pending a bail hearing next week.
