Crowley Police have arrested a Lafayette man stemming from a December 2014 shooting which occurred in the 900 block of Ross Ave.

Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson says they arrested 17-year-old Gerald Robinson, Jr. for shooting into a car and striking the victim.

Robinson is being charged with one count of attempted first degree murder.

Chief Gibson says,

“We have been working on this case and other cases involving recent shootings. Our officers have been working hard to bring the defendant to justice. I appreciate the work of our officers and know that we have a lot more to do.”

The Chief adds that they moved their resources to have more officers handling street level crimes.

Gibson wants everyone in Crowley to know that he hopes they will report information to the police to help catch criminals in their town.
