A man is behind bars, accused of robbing a Subway yesterday. Scott Police Chief Chad Leger say Nicholas Leblanc of Lafayette went into the sandwich shop on St. Mary Street wearing a black ski mask and holding a handgun demanding money. Authorities say he took about $480 and drove away in a maroon saturn.
Broussard police later spotted the car on La 182 near Highway 90, and stopped it. After searching Leblanc and the car he was driving, authorities say they found about $480 in cash in his pocket. He was arrested and charged with armed robbery. He now sits in the Lafayette parish correctional center.
