Lafayette Police have arrested 25-year-old Jeremy Lee White on a warrant for 3 counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder.

Police say White is the person alleged to have shot one man in the upper torso on South Magnolia Street on Sunday June 30.

The victim has since been treated and released from a Lafayette hospital.

Police say when they got to the scene that night, they found out that the victim had been taken to the hospital by someone at the scene, and for a time was listed in critical condition.

Investigators say the victim, they believe, was involved in a verbal altercation right before the shooting.

Police say their investigation is still ongoing into other details of the case.
