Lafayette Man Arrested For Violating Sex Offender Laws

ST. MARTINVILLE, La. (KPEL) -- A 25-year-old Lafayette man was arrested Thursday on charges he violated the state's sex offender laws.

According to Maj. Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, Harold Joseph Brooks was arrested on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender.

He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, and his bond has been set at $15,000, Higgins said.
