Lafayette Man Arrested In April Shooting

A suspect in a Lafayette shooting has been arrested.

Cpl. Paul Mouton with Lafayette Police says the incident happened April 25 in the 1100 block of West Willow Street. Mouton says Dandre R. McKinley of Lafayette allegedly shot an 18-year-old man after getting into an fight with him in a parking lot in the 1100 block of West Willow Street. Mouton says McKinley allegedly shot the victim in the back as he was trying to run away.

The victim has been released from the hospital. McKinley was arrested by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office on a warrant of Attempted First Degree Murder.
