Lafayette Man Arrested In Fatal Hit And Run

A Lafayette man has been booked on charges of vehicular homicide, hit and run, DWI and driving under suspension for allegedly killing a female pedestrian.

Police arrested 42-year-old Kerry Sonnier Saturday night in the death of 40-year-old Wendy Johnson.

Lafayette Police say Sonnier was driving on North University when he allegedly hit Johnson and then kept on driving.

Sonnier was arrested on the charges Saturday night.
