Lafayette Man Arrested On Charges Of Molestation Of A Juvenile

Crowley detectives say they have arrested a Lafayette man on charges of molesting a juvenile.

Detectives say that 43-year-old Christopher P. George had family ties to the 8-year-old girl's family.  They say George was visiting in the home when the inappropriate acts happened.

Police were able to arrest George at his Lafayette home without incident.

George has been charged with molestation of a juvenile, and he was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

He was later transferred to the Acadia Parish Jail, and his bond has been set at $50,000.
