Lafayette Man Charged With Raping Mentally Disabled Person

A mentally disabled person falls victim to rape. Lafayette Police say the victim was approached by Dave Carter Junior yesterday afternoon outside of a medical facility. Carter, who police say the victim knew, convinced the victim to go to his apartment, where the rape happened. Police have charged Carter with simple rape and intentional exposure to AIDS.
