Lafayette Man Facing Charges After Hitting Pedestrian Downtown

A Lafayette man is facing drunk driving charges after he allegedly clipped a pedestrian downtown with his car.

Police say Saul Marinoni was driving down Jefferson Street. As the man was trying to cross the street, Marinoni's side view mirror and door struck him. The pedestrian is in critical condition at a local hospital. Marinoni was charged with OWI and vehicular negligent injury.
