Lafayette Man Killed In Weekend Shooting
Lafayette Police are investigating a Saturday night shooting in which one person was killed.
Cpl. Kyle Soriez with the Lafayette Police Department says 32-year-old Jonas Andrus was shot and killed following an argument at a home on Frank Street.
Investigators say 24-year-old Steven Guillory of Breaux Bridge and Andrus were involved in that disturbance. According to police, Guillory drove back to the scene of the disturbance in a silver Ford Taurus. He allegedly fire multiple shots toward Andrus, striking him.
Family members took Andrus to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Guillory is wanted on charges of first-degree murder. If you know where he may be, you're asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
