A Lafayette man was arrested early Monday morning after police pulled him over for playing the music in his car too loudly.

According to Scott Police Chief Chad Leger, the driver gave officers a false name because he had a warrant out for his arrest.

Police received permission to search the car of 27-year-old Justin Kennedy, Leger said, and they found a small amount of marijuana.

Kennedy was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for playing his music too loudly, resisting arrest by providing false information, possession of marijuana, and for the outstanding warrant.
