Lafayette Motorcyclist Dead After Crash

Lafayette Police say a motorcyclist died after his motorcycle was hit by a car on Johnston Street.

Around 8:30 last night, police say a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse pulled out of parking lot at 4607 Johnston Street and hit 19-year-old Juan Terry-Gonzales' motorcycle.

Gonzales was thrown off of the motorcycle.

He was taken to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The Kaplan woman driving the car was issued a citation for failure to yield from a private lot.
