Lafayette Narcotics Bust Nets Two

Yesterday members of the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Elenore Street and arrested two people.

Metro agents seized drugs including powdered cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, codeine and Trazadone Hydrochloride pills. In addition to drugs, agents recovered a .380 handgun and $1,800 in cash.

Two arrests were made after the search. Eric Martinez was charged with possession with intent to distribute various drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and monies derived from drugs. Michael Martinez was charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm with a controlled substance.
