HM1 Lanna Begnaud has been named the 2013 Enterprise Sailor of the Year by Naval Hospital Pensacola.

Begnaud serves as a command career counselor on a team that counsels over 800 sailors through the hospital and its 10 clinics. It has the number one career development program in the Navy Mideast Region.

But that's just part of Begnaud's story.

She is currently working on her masters' degree and spends her time on many naval-related extracurricular projects.

She is a huge proponent of community service, and spends her time on feeding the homeless and with troubled teens.

Begnaud has also served as a foster parent to an infant, who she took in when he was just a month old and cared for until he was 19 months old when he was adopted by his new family.

As the 2013 Enterprise Sailor of the Year, Begnaud will receive a Navy Commendation Medal.

We'd say she deserves it. Congratulations!
