Last night around 7 o'clock, Lafayette Police were called out to the 100 block of Mabel Street regarding a shooting.  Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between neighbors that live in the 100 block of Mabel Street and the 100 block of Dolese Street.

Police say the two female victims from Mabel Street allegedly walked over to Dolese Street in an attempt to entice a female resident to come out and fight.

The mother of the female on Dolese Street allegedly walked out of the home with a handgun and began shooting at the two victims in the street.  Each femal was struck in the arm.

The two victims, 23 and 24, were taken to a local hospital.  They are both listed in stable condition.

On June 22, 2013, at approximately 7:00 pm, Lafayette Police responded to the 100 block of Mabel Street regarding a shooting.  According to investigators, the shooting stems from an ongoing dispute between individuals that live in the 100 block of Mabel Street and the 100 block of Dolese Street.

The two female victims from Mabel Street allegedly walked over to Dolese Street in an attempt to entice a female resident to enter the street and fight.  The mother of the female on Dolese Street allegedly exited the home with a handgun and began firing at the two victims in the street.  The two victims were each struck in the arm by the gunfire.

The two victims, 23 and 24 years of age, were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.  The suspect, Diane McZeal (50) of Lafayette, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder.  The investigation remains ongoing.
