Lafayette & Iberia Parish Road Closures Happening Through Wednesday, March 9

Update: the center and left lanes at the Evangeline Thruway northbound at L&D railroad crossing, about ½ mile south of Willow Street, will be closed on Sunday, March 6 between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., weather permitting.

The closure of Ambassador Caffery between its intersection with Kaliste Saloom and LA 339 has been extended through Tuesday, March 8. The hours of closure will remain between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In Loreauville, there will be alternating lane closures on LA 86 (Bourgeios Avenue to Leblanc Avenue) from Monday until Wednesday. The closures will happen from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day as crews run water lines to customers.

There are 3 road closures either happening now or scheduled to happen from now through Monday, March 7^th.

First, the 100 block of W. Farrell Road (the road intersects with Kaliste Saloom Road) is closed until March 31^st for water and sewer work. This is the 2^nd time the road closure has been extended this year. There will be detour routes made available.

Second, Ambassador Caffery between its intersection with Kaliste Saloom and LA 339 will have alternating road closures from Thursday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Crews will be restriping the roadway.

Third, on Silver Street in New Iberia, crews will be performing road repairs on Monday, March 7^th from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Traffic officials say to expect lane closures and delays.
