A home invasion suspect is on the loose, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office needs your help trying to find him.

Deputies say they were called out to the 400 block of Louveteau Road around 9:00 p.m. Thursday night after the resident walked in to find 21-year-old Desmond Antonio Faulk of Lafayette Parish, who he knew, allegedly trying to steal items. The victim says, once he got inside his home, Faulk allegedly began firing a gun into a rear door lock to get out through the back door. But after being unsuccessful, he got away through a window. Police say several bullets from the suspect's gun went into a neighboring unoccupied trailer.

Faulk is facing one count of Aggravated Burglary and one count of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. If you have any information, call Lafayette Crime Stoppers at (337) 232-TIPS or 911.
