The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is looking to make two student's college expenses a little lighter.

Sheriff Mike Neustrom says a $500 scholarship will be awarded to two high school graduating seniors from the parish. The recipient of the scholarship must enroll and provide proof of enrollment for this fall as a full-time under graduate to any College in the state.

The resources for the scholarship are being made available through the Louisiana Sheriff’s Honorary Membership Program.

You are then to submit the completed application to Captain Kip Judice of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office at PO Drawer 3508, Lafayette, LA 70502 no later than April 1, 2013. Winners will be announced by May 1, 2013.
