Lafayette Police Arrest North Loop Shooting Suspect

Lafayette Police have confirmed they have arrested 19-year-old Javari Guidry.

They have charged the man with two counts of attempted 1st degree murder for a shooting that happened on the afternoon of July 28th.

Police say the men were involved in some kind of disturbance when the suspect is alleged to have shot at the two men multiple times.

The 20-year-old and 27-year-old victim were each shot three times, and taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

Police have not released any other information on the case.
