Lafayette Police Arrest Two During OWI Operation

Lafayette Police conducted an OWI checkpoint Friday night into Saturday morning.  Lafayette Police say 974 vehicles passed through the checkpoint in the 1800 block of West Pinhook Road.

Police say 33 drivers were stopped for secondary testing at the OWI checkpoint, and they arrested two drivers.

Arrested were:

• 28-year-old Vandy L Hargrave on charges of OWI, Resisting an officer by giving false information and Misrepresentation while booking
• 38-year-old Niv D. Manor on a charge of OWI

Officers say in addition to the arrested, they also issued 6 citations for various violations.
